How to get started in Medical Device entrepreneurship

When I meet most clients they already have a clear idea of what problem they want to solve and some idea of how they want to solve that problem. I help them implement a solution. How did they get there? For some entrepreneurs, something happened to themselves, a friend, a family member or they otherwise observed a problem, unmet need or inefficacy in current medical practices. TransMedics was founded after Dr. Waleed Hassanein observed how organs were wasted during transport to transplant sites. The Organ Care System he championed has replaced the low tech coolers of yesteryear and created a $2B company.
